11:28am. We have been in our home for a full two weeks, and have finally finished unpacking boxes. I didn’t share the news, because I wanted it to be official… And then when it was official, I just never got around to posting. So here we are. Enjoy the photos![1. Click to enlarge]
We moved to a subdivision located on one of the Sea Islands. It’s a quiet neighborhood, and we have lots of space for JJ to run around.
The front yard has trees that separate the surrounding houses.
The inside is an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings.
The kitchen is a nice size. A bar [2. Not pictured] separates the living area.
We gave JJ the second biggest bedroom. We still have a lot of decorating to do in here.
The hall bath is for JJ and guests.
The master bedroom as a vaulted ceiling and a walk-in closet. The master bath is also ensuite.
The backyard is great! It’s completely fenced in, has a small patio, and a fully powered storage shed.
Well that completes the tour!
7:32pm. I haven’t been away intentionally! LOL! I’m currently in the process of a big change that I’m still not ready to announce. Let’s just say… It involves a lot of boxes and not having Internet service (temporary). That’s why I haven’t been blogging…and I’ve really been wanting to blog.
Anyway. I took off a couple of days for Easter weekend to spend with my toddler; only to find out that he thinks daycare is a lot more fun than I am. I’m glad that my feelings aren’t easily hurt. I actually spent my days (and nights) fueling my Sims 3 addiction… So much more fun than packing!
I did take today off to play with JJ’s super cool bubble gun and to watch Daddy’s supervising skills while JJ dyed eggs for the first time. He only broke one! At the end of the day…I’m not looking forward to my weekend being over. Back to work and back to drama.
P.S. I hope you all have great Easter Sundays!
2:20pm. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of taking my son to his cousin’s first birthday party. He won six straight games of BINGO, before they declared that my two year old was cheating, and made him quit playing.
We didn’t stay long.
Hopefully…in a week or so, I’ll have some great news to share…I want to be sure that it’s official first.
I am so very sad that is weekend is coming to an end. Tomorrow starts another week at work, and I’d be lying if I said that I was looking forward to it. Once upon a time, [1. ♪ not long ago…] I loved my new location. Now with the closing…not so much. Anyway… [2. No need to be depressing.]
I had a great weekend with my family. I started out my Saturday with a mile run. Then J sent me to the spa for some time to myself. I got a fresh set of pink & white acrylic nails, a massage, and a pedicure. He wanted me to spend the whole day alone, but I declined. It was one of those days where I wanted to be with my family.
We ended up driving to the new Tanger Outlet Mall. It was my first time going since they remodeled. We mostly picked up some things for JJ, but he did buy me a Bare Escentuals starter kit. I’m not big on makeup, but I’m excited to try it. We ended the night with dinner at Five Guys and a trip to Petco to get JJ a fish.
10:13pm. I am so ready for the weekend! This past week has been pure insanity, with the bank’s closing going public and all. I dream of safe deposit boxes and clients who call to demand an official letter from the bank. [1. You know…because the newspaper article wasn’t official enough.] And not to mention that my boss has been doing the best job at keeping me irritated. I’m just happy for the weekend. [2. Mostly the opportunity to drive myself crazy thinking about next week.]
Tomorrow, I’m going to really focus on getting JJ potty trained. It isn’t that he doesn’t know how to use the potty… He just doesn’t like using the potty. [3. Why use the potty, when the floor is just as great?] I’ve never had to potty train a boy, and I’m so ready to pawn it off on someone else. Unfortunately, I don’t know anyone who’s up for the challenge, so any tips would be extremely helpful.
Tomorrow, was also supposed to be an opportunity to practice my photography, but the weather is supposed to be bad. I’m on the coast, but I do worry about my parents. [4. Their area is prone to tornadoes.] I’m also constantly checking in on my bestie, who just relocated to Kentucky with her husband. There has been so much activity in the Midwest..I can’t help but worry.
I’m going to quit while I am ahead. I tend to start rambling after the third paragraph, and my two year old is tired of listening to Go, Diego, Go.
