It’s official! My supervisor made the announcement to our team yesterday, and my new boss has already started the process of getting my title changed. February is a new month, and I’ll be starting a new adventure. Thankfully my Biology paper is due the week before I start. I get to avoid being stressed about this paper while starting a new position.
I went over to meet the team today. It’s going to be an adjustment, but I’m going to [try to] stay positive and just be myself. I’m just worried that I’ve gotten too laid back with my easy job. I’ll be spending my next two weeks creating training guides for my old team. I’ve been feeling really upset with myself for leaving them. I know that it’s not my responsibility to carry the team, but I’ve been doing it for so long… I feel like a mama kicking her kids out of the house.
On top of that, I found out that my application to join Queen Photographers was approved! I’m joining a group of great women who do excellent work, and I’m honored. I’m always my own worst critic when it comes to my photography, so it’s nice to know that someone is loving what I do.
January has been an awesome month so far. JJ will be turning 7 on Thursday. Ivy will be turning 4 on Saturday. They deserve to have an amazing life full of extracurricular activities and going places that my parents took me as a child. My goal is to make this a year to remember for all of us.
P.S. I’ll be posting about my planners for the year soon. Waiting on one more to come in.
2017 is just beginning, and it’s already the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Times)
I took a week off work to get my personal life in order. I cleared a bunch of things that we no longer use out of the apartment. I’m enjoying not having clutter everywhere. I still have more work to do, but progress is progress.
Last week, I didn’t mention that I had a job interview. I was so nervous about it, to a point where I felt sick. Little did I know, it wasn’t really an interview, but more of a “this is what you’ll be doing, and we hope you will accept the position.” Turns out, the manager was the Foursquare Swarm mayor of the building before I politely booted him out of the spot.
Well today, I got the official offer! I will be moving up to IT Operations Analyst! It’s entry level, but I’m okay with that. I still have at least two years before I graduate with my Bachelor’s, and I’m excited to get the experience that I need. This is what I’ve been waiting on my entire life, and I couldn’t be happier.
On top of that, I was officially inducted into the Honor’s Society! I’m ecstatic! For once, I put myself first, and it’s like all of my dreams were on the other side of that door.
So here’s to 2017!! May it continue to be the G.O.A.T.
It’s a new year, y’all! I did terrible with blogging last year, I know. I would say that I am going to do better this year, but the way my life is set up…
Since my last update, I have started classes. I currently have a 4.0 GPA, and I’ve received an invitation to join the Honors Society. This is my third quarter, and I’m taking Biology and Web Development.
Nothing new is going on with work. I feel like I’m at a plateau, and I need to make some changes.
The kids are great. January is birthday month!
I have a few projects lined up for 2017. I’m going to attempt to focus on myself this year. I have so many dreams that I want to fulfill and there isn’t anyone holding me back… Except me.
So as always, stay tuned!
It’s May… I’m stopping by for a few updates.
That replacement iPhone 6S turned into a Nexus 6P. LOL! It’s so hard to stay away from Android. As much as I love it, I’m excited about the next iPhone and WWDC. I’ve been working on trying to get a decent screen for the iPhone 6 that J dropped weights on so that I can have a device for iOS 10… I’ll keep you updated on that one.
I’m still planning… and spending a ridiculous amount of money on planners! I’m actually planning a destash of the few that I have left. I ordered a Filofax Malden, and I can’t wait to get it. The Inkwell Press has been converted into a budget calendar. I think I may start posting more about my planning and quest to find planner peace.
I got a promotion! TD Lexington’s only Black IRA Ops Rep 3! It was completely unexpected, but well deserved. I’ve been working really hard, and feeling really unappreciated. At the point where I was ready to give up and find somewhere that would appreciate my talents, my boss announced my promotion and that I was Employee of the Month!
That’s pretty much it. I’m well. The family is well. I have some visions for where I want to go with the domain. I’ve gotten rid of a few other domains because I feel like it would be much easier to manage one. I’m not a huge fan of subdomains, but if I am going to have them, terin.me is perfect for that. Besides, it’s officially the domain that I’ve owned the longest.
Stay tuned… Hopefully I don’t fall off the wagon again before I get my thoughts situated.
It’s a new year, and I’m back to try this whole blogging thing again.
So much happened in 2015. Much of it, I’d rather not rehash. Life threw me wrenches. Some I dodged, some hit me right in the head. But I’m over it.

The best thing about 2015 was, definitely, my introduction to pretty planning! I went from the Happy Planner to an Erin Condren to the Inkwell Press. I was introduced to custom paper clips, washi tape, and Frixion pens!
So back to the new year… I’m expecting a year full of awesomeness that focuses on me. I registered for college; I’m going into the second year of my job; I started working out; and I’m trying to achieve planner peace.
Happy New Year 2016! May your dreams and hopes come true.
